About Inside High School Sports Show is a weekly one-hour sports radio program that is broadcasted every Saturday morning, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sports Radio 620 WHEN, and Sports Stars Radio Network. Highlights of a typical show include the following: Mike Bristol, Phil Blackwell, and Jason Powless go round-robin with extensive coverage of over 104 public and parochial high schools of Section 3. Each week a guest host also appears on the round robin. For example Coach Dave Pasiak from OCC, John Simone GM of the Chiefs Kyle Johnson Denver Broncos etc .Highlights of both boys and girls games from the previous week that are showcased including all of the Friday night action. Phil covers the Syracuse area; and Jason is all over it with games from the Mohawk-Valley. Mike and Phil continue into the broadcast capturing the excitement of a couple significant games from Friday night and then set-up the preview of the weekend's top match-ups. Next up is an assortment of in-depth interviews, covering important topics of interest to high school athletes, coaches, parents, school administrators and fans; with nationally recognized sports guests such as former ST. John University Basketball Coach Mike Jarvis, Buffalo Bills Marv Levy, ESPN's Darren Rovell, to name a few. Naturally, local high school coaches and athletes are also featured in interview segments, who exemplify outstanding competition and sportsmanship. Finally, Mike and Phil Blackwell take our listeners down the list of several outstanding Section 3 athletes and coaches who, in the past week, achieved stellar performances earning them Athlete of the Week honors from our various show sponsors.
